Rahul Ashtikar is a Fashion and Advertising Photographer based in Mumbai, India

 

Born in 1972 in Maharashtra, India, he spent his youth with a passion for music, sport and photography that would lead him to choose his natural career path.

​

In 1992, after graduating in Commerce from Mumbai University, he took his first steps working in the field of Advertising and started working with Clea Advertising and Later assisted top Photographers like Madhur Shroff and Suresh Natarajan.

During this time, he focused on photographic techniques, experimenting the use of film and prints in the darkroom. 

Later, the transition to digital photography simplified and sped up his work, as he specialized in using computers, Photoshop, new software and technology.

The passion for his work makes him a tireless, yet sensitive photographer, always looking for the perfect picture, always looking for a new project to pursue.

After numerous and various experiences in the field, he started working as a freelance Professional Photographer in 1999.

​

Attentive to the rapid changes in the market and  variety of expertise has enabled him to successfully tackle any assignment given to him.

He is currently working for some major brands, always busy and in motion, always looking for new targets and exciting new challenges all over the world.
